Gwenlynn Reeves, Vice President of Compliance & Education
Gwenlynn, transitioned to Choice in March of 2017 bringing years of experience in healthcare compliance and rehabilitation services. Gwen sometimes describes compliance as guiding her team to “color within the lines” in a culture of healthcare providers who extend quality services and hospitality with a high level of integrity all at the same time so that positive experiences and outcomes are achieved for staff, customers and patients.
Merging her professional experiences into the role she now holds at Choice is an ideal match for Gwen. Throughout the past 30 years, she has served in operations and management positions for contract therapy providers and a long term care facility management group. During this tenure, she has developed corporate compliance programs, supported corporate integrity agreement requirements, and managed operations of both regional contract therapy services and in-house sub-acute rehabilitation programs while providing compliance oversight, regulatory affairs guidance and training related to these programs in skilled nursing facilities throughout the country.
Gwen recognizes the need for staff to receive education and training on an ongoing basis. “Being informed about industry standards is mandatory for all therapist”. She has presented at multiple healthcare association conventions including AANAC (American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination), ASHA (American Speech Language & Hearing Association) and TSHA (Texas Speech & Hearing Association) and has served on various boards and committees.
You may have guessed, Gwen is a Speech/Language Pathologist whose career has naturally progressed to compliance and education for rehabilitation professionals.
